Introduction:
New food raw materials (novel food) used to be referred as new resource food. According to the relevant provisions of the Food Safety Law of China, new food raw materials can be sold and used in the Chinese market only after they have passed the safety assessment of the Health Administration Department under the State Council.
This Approval List of New Food Raw Materials (Novel Food) includes a list of new food raw materials that have been approved for use by regulatory authorities in China since 2008. Detailed information on the Chinese name, English/Latin name, basic information, scope of use, recommended amount, production process, quality requirements, etc. of each approved raw material is available in the database.

The strains approved will be included in the corresponding strains list.
