Introduction:
It is clearly listed in the Appendix 2 of Notice of No. 51, 2002 issued by former Ministry of Health (MOH) that 114 substances are available in health food in China. It should be noted that the substances included in this list are only allowed for use in health food and not for other food categories (except for those have supplementary announcements issued by Chinese regulatory authorities later).
