FCM (Food contact materials) are defined as the elements of objects and materials intended to direct or indirect contact with food stuff, which closely related to the food safety. Along with the living standard improving and a series of FCM issues, the concern of FCM has aroused more and more attention of media and consumers. Currently, with the new Food Safety Low promulgated, the supervision of FCM will reach a new height.
According to the statistic of Chinese White Book of Imported FCM in 2014,the value of imported FCM has soared in recent few years, whichhas reached 0.75 billion dollars in 2014 and this number is keep increasing with more than 38% annually. Accompany with the rapid growth, a large sum of trade friction is appearing: disqualified hygienic index, lack of corresponding standards for some materials, incompliant product label and so on.
