In order to enhance and control the management of renewal of health food registration, to ensure smooth implementation of Administrative Measure on Health Food Registration and Filing, the notice about renewal of health food registration decided as following shown:
1. In case applicants failed to submit the application for renewal (re-registration) in the prescribed time limit in below situations, the applicants shall hand in application and relevant materials to acceptance department of China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) before 31 December, 2016. And then the period of renewal of health food registration can be extended for 6 months;
a). Before 1 July 2016, applicants submitted the application for renewal of health food registration to provincial FDA, and FDA required supplementary materials. However, when applicants re-submitted the application, the application date was beyond the required applying deadline.
b). After 1 July 2016, applicants submitted the application for renewal of health food registration because of not providing related product sales situation documents in time, then the application date was beyond the required applying deadline or beyond the validity of registration certificate.
2. Since 1 January 2017, applicants shall submit application for renewal of health food registration in accordance with Administrative Measures on Health Food Registration and Filling.
