In order to carry out the revision plan of heath food raw material directory and health function directory, on 30 September 2017, CFDA Health Food Review Center issued a tender notice about the subject research on heath food raw material directory and health function directory. The bid will be opened on 24 October. The qualified bidders are welcomed to participate in the tender.

There are 8 subjects in total, the bidder may tender any of them or several at the same time, but only one subject will be awarded. In addition, according to the listed subjects, there are 26 raw materials in total planned to be studied. Since the research period for each subject is from 1 November 2017 to 31 December 2018, the results about these health food raw materials will be obtained at least in 2019.
2. Health function directory research items
There are 10 health functions listed to be researched, namely,
- Antioxidative;
- Alleviating eye fatigue;
- Facilitating feces excretion;
- Assisting memory improvement;
- Weight control;
- Assisting the protection against chemical injury of liver;
- Improving child growth;
- Eliminating skin chloasma;
- Facilitating digestion;
- Increasing bone density.
The bidder may tender any of the subject or several at the same time, but only one or two subjects will be awarded.
All of the 10 health functions are from the current 27 heath functions in China, and they will be updated. The research are planned to evaluate the current methods, revise the evaluation methods and criteria, clarify the functional interpretation, and establish a list of health function information with clear evaluation methods and criteria.
